The Sheffield & District Chess Association has four teams competing in the Yorkshire League. Sheffield A, captained by Jeremy Hamm, and Sheffield B, captained by Alan McIntosh, play in the first division (the Woodhouse Cup); Sheffield C, captained by John Mercy, is in the second division, the I M Brown; and Sheffield D, captained by Paul Blackman, is in the third division, the Silver Rook.
