Ideally games should be in pgn format - this makes my job approximately 10 000 times easier. If you want to submit a text file (ie type in the moves by hand) then we can work with that too, but it may take longer to get the game on the site. Please remember to include details of the Competition, Players, Date, Venue, and preferably annotations.
PGN files are generated if you play through the game using the simple and free chess viewer WinBoard.
