This will be held on
Saturday 10 July at The Abbey, (Woodseat's venue) |

commencing 11.20 am.
Players are asked to arrive by 11.10am to confirm their |
|
|
attendance. |
|
|
|
|
Format will be 6 rounds
with each player having 25 minutes for all their |
|
|
moves per game. |
|
|
|
|
|

Round 1: 11.20 am |
|
|
|
|
Round 2: 12.20pm followed by lunch. |
|
|
|
(There
is a highly recommended pub restaurant in the bar below!) |

Round 3: 2.20pm |

Round 5: 4.25pm |

Prizegiving will follow
as soon as possible after the last round. |

placed player currently resident in the Sheffield & |

|
District Chess
Association region will be the winner of the Crabb Shield. |

Last year's event proved
very popular and players are advised to get their |
|
|
entries in as soon as
possible as space is restricted to 20 boards. (Last |
|
|
year we had 41 entrants
which was the absolute maximum possible!) Entries |
|
|
will
be accepted on the day but only as far as space permits. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
There was call last year
for more than one summer tournament of this type. |
|
|
If there is a similar
mood on the day then it would be possible to put on |
|
|
similar tournaments in
August/September. |
